The project includes digital documentation of the historic Fort Kosocice in the form of laser scanning of the building and terrain, flat documentation, a digital 3D model and animation disseminated on the Internet and used in further work.
The project is a proposal for a protection sample and a tool for promotion, popularization and dissemination of knowledge about heritage of preserved fragments of historical fortification infrastructure. On the other hand, it is a presentation of a modern format and high artistic value as well as promotion of a non-government organization aimed at protecting cultural heritage and supporting artistic activities.
The digital presentation has an impact on increasing the resilience of the cultural and creative sector to economic crises and results in a lasting improvement of the digital competences of the Fort Kosocice Foundation. It increases its potential to continue statutory goals and strengthen its operational stability.
The project has educational aspect in terms of popularizing knowledge about the tangible cultural heritage and historical events related to the Fortress Kraków. Digital 3D animation is an attractive form of communication that implements modern technologies. It becomes an important project activating the local community, promoting attitudes based on the awareness of one’s own cultural identity in the local, regional and national dimension.
